Why Refills Are Currently In Store Only?
At NemNem, candles are designed to be reused and enjoyed over time. Refilling allows your candle jar to live on while maintaining the quality and safety of the burn.
At present, candle refills are not available online. This is a temporary solution until a reliable refill system can be reintroduced.
Why Refills Are Offered In Store
Refilling a candle involves more than simply adding wax. Each jar must be carefully handled to ensure safety and performance.
In-store refilling allows us to:
- Inspect the jar for suitability
- Clean the container correctly
- Prepare and position the wick properly
- Maintain fragrance balance and burn quality
This process helps ensure refilled candles meet the same standards as newly poured ones.
Important Care Note for Stone Candle Jars
Customers are kindly asked not to use cleaning agents or chemical solutions on stone candle jars.
Please avoid:
- Pouring boiling water into the jar
- Placing the jar under running water
Our stone jars are sealed with a water-based protective sealer, which can be damaged by water exposure. Incorrect cleaning may compromise the finish and prevent refilling.
If in doubt, bring the jar to us and we will handle the cleaning safely.
The In-Store Refill Process
Refilling directly into the original jar is a labour-intensive process and takes slightly longer than standard pouring.
The process includes:
- Cleaning and preparing the jar
- Sealing the container
- Allowing drying time
- Pouring the wax
- A second drying and curing phase
This ensures the candle performs correctly and safely once refilled.
NemNem Candle offers free candle cleaning in store as part of this process.

MANI is a Centre for Art and Culture dedicated to local manufacture and handmade products, making it the natural home for NemNem Candle and our refill service.
