About Us – NemNem Candle began with a deep love for Maltese tradition and the soothing fragrances of new candles that calm your space. Ours is a home fragrance family-run business with one simple vision. We create sustainable feel-good scents with beautiful designs inspired by Malta’s cultural heritage. It is our way of paying tribute to our traditions and keeping them alive. NemNem’s story began during COVID days in 2021, with just a few people and months of brainstorming. Today, we have grown into a team of 20+ people: in-house artisans, designers, craftspersons -all under one roof. From humble beginnings, you can now find our bespoke scented candles in shops throughout Malta and Gozo. And that is how NemNem was born.
Our Candles:
All NemNem candles are handmade – hand-poured, wicked, shaped, scented, handcrafted, labelled, and packed. From concept, to design, and manufacturing, we produce our candles locally in our Ta’ Qali workshop.
Each candle is meticulously hand crafted by our skilled in-house artisans, with the utmost care – using natural waxes, 100% cotton wicks, high-end fragrances, solvent-free and paraben-free ingredients that we get from companies who do not test on animals.
Safety is our top priority. We only use high quality natural and non-toxic ingredients to deliver a cleaner and long-lasting burn, that benefit both your well-being and the environment. That is why we’re diligent in choosing our materials and hand pour in small batches.

Sustainability:
At NemNem, we aim at crafting zero-waste products and packaging that are kind to nature. We’re driven to produce safe products made from sustainable ingredients and earth-friendly materials to provide candle lovers with an eco-friendly option:
- 100% cotton, lead-free wicks
- Natural soy wax
- Recyclable packaging material
- Natural, high-grade fragrance oils
- Vegan & cruelty-free
All our jars are eco-pots made from reconstituted Maltese stone. They’re solvent free and paraben free and we dry them at room temperature without the use of electricity or ovens. You can also give your stone vessel a second life once you’ve burned through your wax so that they won’t end up in the landfill (but if they do, they are compostable). It feels wasteful to throw away our beautiful jar! Our candle containers can be reused and repurposed as planters, home-office supplies organisers, bathroom organisers, gift boxes, or tea light holders. You can also turn it back into a candle. We have candle refill packs to further minimise waste!
